Competition Format: Bouldering Carnival
Total climbing time: 30 mins
Total routes: 8
Scoring system: 25 points will be awarded for a Top and 10 points for a Zone on each boulder, with 0.1 points deducted for every unsuccessful attempt. For example, a climber will score 25 points for a flash, but 24.9 points for finishing the boulder on their second attempt.
Participants Age will be based on their birth year, in line with World Climbing.
In an event of a tie, time taken to complete will be considered. The participant who submits their scoresheet earlier will be ranked higher.
An overall school winner will be crowned for each category. (A minimum participation of 5 climbers per school/club are required per category for an overall winner to be crowned)
The school/gym with the highest combined points from their top 5 climbers per category will be the overall winner for each category.
In an event of a tie, the school with the higher ranked climber will rank ahead. Prize presentation will be held on 23rd May 2026.
